Rare Matter observes a fragile phenomenon in which ice, instead of floating on the surface, melts and sinks, forming nearly invisible underwater surfaces. These fleeting forms can only be discovered through touch or a shifting background.
Moving between natural and digitally reconstructed environments, the work reflects on how rarity is not inherent to matter itself, but produced through context, attention, and the conditions of seeing.
